Het gaat goed met Nederlandse Dj’s. Robbie Taylor en Marc MacRowland uit Rotterdam zijn het nieuwe muzikale ‘exportproduct’ van ons vaderland. De plaat ‘Paseos’ gaat zorgen voor een doorbraak over de grens. De spaanse Dj Chus pikte de demo op en tekende de heren voor zijn label ‘Stereo Productions’, één van de grootste House labels in de wereld.

‘Paseos’ is het Spaanse woord voor wandeling, maar luisteren naar deze plaat is bepaald geen suffe bezigheid. De internationale housescene is lovend over Paseos. Taylor vertelt gepassioneerd “Deze plaat is een goed voorbeeld van de sound die we nu veel draaien. Paseos is een goede remedie tegen een winterdepressie. De track heeft een zomerse vibe en bevat een opzwepende Rio Carnaval kreet. Zes remixen van eigenzinnige producers als Gabriel & Castellon, Mikel Curcio, Alessi Caforio en Boris NY zorgen voor een Ibiza-achtige compositie. Paseos is een perfecte blend van tribal en techno invloeden; a taste of summer. De laatste track is een fijne chill down mix ft. Leon Wildner, een Nederlandse saxofonist.

De Nederlandse housescene draait al jaren mee op wereldniveau. De afgelopen twee jaar zijn er veel jonge getalenteerde producers bijgekomen. Eén van die rising stars is Robbie Taylor. Robbie was verantwoordelijk voor de remix van de laatste twee ‘Stereo Bombs’ (‘That feeling’ by Dj Chus & ‘Uganda’ by Dj Wady). 2 december j.l. was de releasedatum zijn eigen track debuut met de eveneens getalenteerde Rotterdamse producer Marc MacRowland.
